What is PokeBonk?
PokeBonk (also written PokéBonk or Poke Bonk) is a free fan game that runs in your browser.1,4 Its creator, Charcher, announced it on X on October 14, 2026. In that post, Charcher said the game borrows a lot from Megabonk, mostly its 3D world with high and low ground.2,3
In a run, you survive hordes of wild Pokémon in a 3D world.1,3 Your Pokémon’s moves fire on their own while you dodge. Each time you level up, you pick an upgrade.3,4 Dexerto reports that a card can add a move, make an attack stronger or give a vitamin.3
Your Pokémon can evolve, and it has an Ultimate ability. You can also unlock more Pokémon for your League.1,3,4
Dexerto describes two modes. Classic has zones, guardians and a shrine, and Survival is endless hordes.3,4
You can join a clan, and there are leaderboards.3,6 According to Dexerto, Charcher said AI tools helped build the game and called it a nonprofit fan project.3
PokeBonk is still in beta and changes almost every day, so details here may change.5,7

Our Pokesurvivor tier list ranks PokéSurvivor’s 29 starters9, and our best Pokémon page covers its gacha Pokémon. Neither applies to PokeBonk. Our held items guide covers PokéSurvivor’s items.
Which starter should you pick?
You start by picking Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle as your first partner.3,4
We have not tested them yet and have no PokeBonk tier list, so we don’t rank them.
One fan wiki sums them up this way. Bulbasaur heals over time, and Squirtle gets armor and a shield. Charmander brings Fire damage and extra speed. That wiki has no win-rate ranking either and says to pick the style you want to learn.6
